Charles County Board of Education Swearing-In Ceremony Elected Board XVIII of, Dottery Butler- Washington, Cindy Coulby, David Hancock, Nicole M. Kreamer, Yonelle Moore Lee, Esq., Michael K. Lukas, Jamila Smith, Brenda Thomas, Linda Warren. Held on December 19, 2022 at St. Charles High School.

The ceremony started with an introduction from Brian Kuhn, a teacher at St. Charles High School “Spartones”. Then the welcome by Amira Abujuma, a student Board Member, the presentation of colors by the Marine Corps JROTC, St, Charles High School, the pledge of allegiance by Leslie Johnson, Student liaison to the Board of Education at St. Charles High School, then the Star Spangled Banner, St. Charles High School Spartones, then the introduction of the Dignitaries and Remarks by Maria V. Navarro, Ed.D. Superintendent of Schools.

Introduction of the board members was introduced by Amira Abujuma. A student member of the Board elected by CCPS middle and high school students. Lisa E. Yates, Clerk of the Circuit Court for Charles County, hosted the Oath of Office.
